One of the main reasons I love Oglethorpe is a sense of community it offers. Not only our class sizes small, so you get to know your teachers and your peers, but also living in the dorms, getting involved in clubs and activities really makes you feel like home.
I have found that place that I can call home, and just be true to myself.
I love OU because you will always be welcomed here. Whether on campus or in the greater Atlanta area, you can find your passion and your people.
They are so nice-- so genuine, and they're willing to help you with whatever you need. And that goes for the faculty and the students.
One of my favorite professors at Oglethorpe, Dr. Mario Chandler. Every time we see each other, it doesn't matter what's happening, you'll see us yelling, "Hello", across the quad and waving at each other. And it's always the best part of my day whenever that happens.
I love how they will go above and beyond helping students navigate the course material, find their own intellectual voices, and really learn how to apply the material not just to the class, but also to their lives.
I love Oglethorpe because it's a place full of people who want you to succeed and get so much joy out of helping you achieve your dreams. From the faculty to the staff, students will always have someone in your corner.
The atmosphere at Oglethorpe University is just so welcoming . It's just a great friendly environment.
From the first time I was on campus, I felt loved and appreciated and that has not left since I, you know, a senior. We try to pioneer our future family, like our future pride, the entire way through. And that's something that like you know, we really take seriouslyon campus.
One of my favorite things about Oglethorpe is it's closeness to Atlanta. There's a lot to do for you to be able to distress and how fun.
You have all the access to the city of Atlanta. All of the internship opportunities at Coca Cola or Instant Young, Make-A-Wish Foundation, The High Museum. And you also have all the opportunities for social engagement, the opportunity to go to hawks games or Atlanta United games, see Beyonce in concert, eat great food, which is my favorite thing.
You are your name, and you're a person, and everyone knows who you are. And it's a really great feeling to have.
This campus has allowed me to flourish in every aspect of myself imaginable. The faculty, the staff and the students have empowered me to become a leader, not only on this campus, but in Metropolitan Atlanta, the state of Georgia. Federally, through capacities and internships, I'm so grateful to have experienced.
Welcome to Oglethorpe! We'll see you at home soon.
We're so excited to welcome you guys to campus in the fall.
See you guys next fall.
I can't wait to meet you.
I'm excited for you to come join our future family. Stay stormy!
